Staff Spotlight: Gabrielle Sallard

Gabrielle (or Gabe, as we call her) joined AlphaCare’s staff in January of 2019. In her role as Ultrasound Witness, she spends much of her time assisting our nurses with ultrasound scans and appointments. She has a bachelor’s degree in Health Services from Saint Joseph’s University and hopes to start medical school in the fall of 2020.

When asked about her new job, Gabe said, “What I enjoy most is the opportunity to engage directly with women. I grew up in a very pro-life environment and took plenty of apologetics and bioethics courses where we talked about abortion and frequently discussed the topic with my peers. We talked about all different kinds of scenarios and all different backgrounds of women who might seek an abortion, and I always felt like I could sympathize with them to some extent; but being face to face with them and hearing their stories–listening to their struggles and fears, has made things so much more real to me. I love talking to them and the chance to be the face of Christ for them; even if no one converts in the exam room, if there is a chance for them to see Jesus working in us, I couldn’t be happier.”

We are thrilled to have Gabe’s gifts, enthusiasm and spunk on our staff. She is a gift to us and the moms we serve.
