AlphaCare’s current MMC has been faithfully serving Philadelphia for over nine years. But this year alone, it’s been in the shop four times. Repairs are costly, and breakdowns limit our ability to reach women in crisis—right when they need us most.

The Mobile Medical Clinic brings free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, and support to women where they live—before they even step into a traditional medical facility. It shows them that they are not alone, that their life and their baby’s life matter, and that God sees them, right where they are.
AlphaCare’s Mobile Medical Clinic crosses borders, removes barriers, and offers women access to professional medical resources right on their block. The vehicle itself is a Mercedes Sprinter – it is clean, high-quality, and upfitted with the latest medical equipment. The choices we make communicate that our work, the professionals conducting it, and the people receiving it all have tremendous value.

More Than a Van
All these elements work together to speak a profound truth that God cares for them right where they are! The importance of your investment in the Mobile Medical Clinic cannot be overstated. God is using the unique AlphaCare experience to not only reach today’s women with transformative care, but as a staging work in preparation for future AlphaCare sites as we seek to fulfill our mission to serve the entire city of Philadelphia.
This quality of care is more than just the vehicle – thoughtful steps are taken each time we enter a neighborhood. As you consider giving, keep in mind all that goes into the planning, operation, and maintenance of the Mobile Medical Clinic:
Placement – Our team researches locations with high percentages of STD rates, high-traffic and access to public transportation.
Partnership – We connect with churches, ministries, and community leaders that we can serve and who will serve alongside AlphaCare.
Prayer – Our cohort of leaders will walk the neighborhoods together, seeking God’s blessing, protection, and help as we seek to serve in His name.
Preparation – We engage volunteers to help spread the word throughout the community – posting banners, flyers, word of mouth. We hope to increase awareness with modern digital marketing services as well.
People – It takes several key roles to ensure the quality of services we seek to deliver.
Certified Nurse – Administer ultrasounds and provide personal care.
Professional Medical Assistant – Aiding the nurse and helping with administrative duties.
Translator – AlphaCare uses live translation services to deliver real-time care in multiple languages.
Hospitality Support – Waits outside of the MMC with friends & family. This is a key volunteer role that allows time for the clients being served, the time to share sensitive information in private.
