Board Profile: Olivia DiGirolamo
Olivia DiGirolamo started serving AlphaCare in August of 2020 as a Finance Committee member. In January of 2022, she joined our Board as Treasurer. This month, we had the opportunity to interview Olivia about her work with AlphaCare so that you can get to know her.
Q: What brought you to AlphaCare?
A: I was looking for opportunities to serve in Philadelphia. I had heard of AlphaCare through friends that were familiar with the organization (internships, etc.) and Charles (Hopkins, Board Vice-Chair) reached out to me asking if I would be interested in joining the Finance Committee.
Q: What is your passion for the work we do?
A: There is a need for organizations that support women and families, AlphaCare fills that need with much-needed grace and expertise.
Q: As a professional, what makes you a qualified board member?
A: I started my career as an auditor where I was able to see what it takes to be a financially healthy organization. I have since moved on to corporate finance, primarily focusing on expense management and analysis.
Q: What is an interesting fact or anecdote about you and your family?
A: My husband opened an Urgent Care with his father in 2019 and has had to navigate all the complexities of the pandemic along with being a new business. We live in Northeast Philadelphia with our Wheaten puppy, Kona.
