Kim’s Corner: A Boutique for AlphaCare Clients

AlphaCare is preparing to open Kim’s Corner, a new boutique located across the street from our Lancaster Avenue clinic at 3826 Lancaster Avenue. The boutique is named after Kim Bennett who worked faithfully as a nurse and program director for over 30 years.

This beautiful new space will allow AlphaCare clients to “shop” for maternity and baby essentials in a comfortable, safe, and dignified environment. Every item in the boutique will be provided free of charge to AlphaCare clients.

Kim’s Corner will allow AlphaCare to offer practical support to women and families in a more thoughtfully designed and beautiful space, with items such as baby clothes, diapers, wipes, strollers, car seats, maternity clothing, and other essentials. As always, these items will be provided through generous donations of supplies and gifts that help AlphaCare to purchase needed items.

This long-hoped-for space is more than a place to receive supplies. It is an extension of AlphaCare’s mission to offer compassionate, professional care that honors the inherent value of every woman and family we serve.

Along with donating needed items, we invite you to consider becoming a monthly supporter. Ongoing financial support helps sustain the day-to-day operational needs that make this care possible—from staffing and medical services to maintaining welcoming spaces for women and families.

Volunteer Setup Day

Volunteer Day: Saturday, May 30

Time: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Location: Kim’s Corner, 3826 Lancaster Avenue

Volunteers will help move items from the clinic to the boutique, drive larger items, assemble furniture, and prepare the space for client use.

Most volunteers should be able to lift items weighing 15 pounds or more.

We are also specifically looking for:

Two drivers with vehicles that can transport larger items
Two to three volunteers who can assemble shelves and furniture
Volunteers available before May 30 to help clean the space at a convenient time

This time is also open to supporters who would simply like to see the boutique space, even if they are not able to volunteer that morning.
